How to Embroider Polo Shirts

Embroidered polo shirts are a brand staple in the modern world. In this article, we’ll look into how common polos are, how polos are embroidered, and share a selection of our top favorites.

Polo Embroidery is Very Common

The embroidered polo is a business classic. Go to any trade show, office building, fast food franchise, or retail store, and you’re likely to find a few. Breweries often use them for their employee uniforms, and for company merch. Schools use them for their student uniforms, or for teachers out on field trips. Clubs and choirs and sports teams might have them for banquets or formal events. In short, polo embroidery is very popular.

Where do people wear embroidered polos?

Embroidered polos are probably most likely to be found in the workplace, as part of a uniform, or as an easy choice for the workday, even when not required. But they’re also found out in the wild. It’s not uncommon to spot people wearing them out to happy hour, or in transit back and forth. In almost any restaurant on a weeknight, you’ll be likely to spot a patron or two wearing their branded logo embroidered polo for an after work bite to eat with the family.

It’s also common to find people wearing embroidered polo shirts out on work sponsored events. Trade shows are popular places to wear logo embroidered polos, since they help identify you if you’re hosting a booth, or when you’re networking. They’re also common at different company sponsored sports games, concerts, fairs, or team building retreats.

What promotional polos can do for your business

The benefits of promotional polos can work wonders for your business.

  1. Professionalism

Off the bat, they’re great for setting a standard level of professionalism in the workplace. In customer service industries, or other client-facing positions, company polos help the consumer identify who they can talk to. It establishes brand trust and authority.

  1. Brand Exposure

Beyond conveying professionalism, polos are also great for brand exposure and recognition. They’re easy to wear on a number of occasions, and each time someone wears your polo, that’s free advertising for your company and your brand.

Our Polo Embroidery Process

Ordering

Ordering from Thread Logic is super easy. You go online, choose your product, upload your logo design, and hit order. We don’t require a minimum order quantity, so you can get custom embroidered polos no matter the size of your team, and our embroidery is always free. No stitch count pricing

We work with you to make sure your polo turns out exactly as you pictured it, so before going into production, we send you a proof for confirmation. We can change an order before it goes into production.

Placement

Our logos are placed on the left chest of all apparel unless otherwise noted. The left chest is the standard for polos, across most industries. But we work with our customers to fit their needs, so if you would like your logo elsewhere, we can make it happen.

Machine Embroidery

First you need to pick out the design you want and save it to your computer. We send it to our embroidery sewing machine. We get your chosen polo, and make sure it is tightly secured to the machine.

Here’s how we go about embroidering polos, apparel, and gear at Thread Logic.

  1. A mechanized needle rapidly stitches across the material. Each thread color is stitched individually until the full design is completed
  2. Excess thread is snipped off by a technician, leaving a raised and textured look for the design.
  3. We pack up your order, and send it out
